UPDATE: The Valley View Sewer District Board of Commissioners has decided to extend the GFC increase deadline to January 1st, 2025.

December 31st, 2024 is now the last day of the current GFC prices.

Valley View Sewer District hired the FCS Group to perform a Study on its General Facilities Charge (GFC). The Study has now been completed. The GFC is a connection charge that applies to all new connections, such as new Single-Family, Multifamily, and Commercial connections to the sewer system. The GFC is collected to ensure each new connection pays its equitable share of the cost of the sewer system. Read the FCS Group report here.

GFC classifications will increase in three increments. The current GFC for a Single-Family Residence is $4,033. The GFC rate for Single-Family Residences will increase to:

$7,510 effective January 1, 2025

$10,985 on June 1, 2025

$14,460 effective June 1, 2026

The GFC increases ensure rehabilitation projects identified in the Comprehensive Sewer Plan are responsibly funded using a combination of GFC revenue and rate revenue collected from monthly sewer bills.
