Read on to learn how you can optimize and simplify paying your Rainier View water bill.

Online Bill Pay with Rainier View Water

The fastest and most convenient way to pay your water bill is through Rainier View Water’s online bill pay system Here’s an overview of how it works

  • Account Registration – First time users need to register their account on the Rainier View Water website using their account number and email address.

  • Bill Details – Your current bill amount, due date, usage etc. are clearly displayed on your online account dashboard.

  • Payment Options – Pay your water bill securely online using credit/debit cards, checking account or automated bank draft.

  • Payment History – Your payment receipts and history are stored in your account for easy access.

  • Paperless Billing – Opt-in to receive bills and reminders via email to go 100% paperless.

  • Auto-Pay – Set up recurring automated payments from your card or bank account so you never miss a bill.

Paying online is fast, secure, convenient and lets you go paperless. Sign up for reminders to avoid late fees too!

Paying Your Water Bill by Phone

If you prefer to pay your Rainier View water bill over the phone, follow these steps:

  • Call Rainier View Water at (253) 537-6634 during business hours (M-F 8am-5pm).

  • Have your account number ready to verify your identity.

  • Select whether to pay by credit/debit card, checking account or auto-draft.

  • Provide your payment details securely over the 24-hour automated payment line.

  • Keep the confirmation number for your records.

Paying by phone is quick and easy, just be sure to call during business hours. The after-hours automated system also works for fast payments.

Paying Your Bill by Mail

To pay your water bill by physical check or money order using good old snail mail:

  • Have your water bill available with the payment stub and mailing address.

  • Write your account number clearly on the check or stub.

  • Enclose your payment in the envelope. Make sure there is sufficient postage.

  • Mail at least 3-5 business days before the due date to ensure it arrives on time.

  • Keep the receipt and tracking number as proof of payment.

Mailing a paper check allows you to pay your bill without online access. Just be sure to pay attention to mailing times so it doesn’t arrive late!

Paying Your Water Bill In Person

To pay your water bill in person with cash, check or money order:

  • Locate the nearest Rainier View Water payment center. These are available in certain towns.

  • Bring your printed bill or know your account number.

  • Select your payment method – cash, check, money order or debit/credit card.

  • Receive a stamped receipt for your records.

  • Payments made before 2 PM are normally processed same day.

Paying in person requires traveling to a payment center but some customers may prefer the face-to-face interaction.

Same Day Online Payments

One of the best perks of online bill pay is instant processing of your payment, even on the due date.

As long as you pay your Rainier View water bill online by 5 PM on the due date, it will be processed same day to avoid late fees. This gives you much more flexibility than mailing paper checks which need extra time.

I’ve paid my bill online at 4:45 PM on the due date before and had no problem so it’s great peace of mind. Just be absolutely sure to complete the payment before 5 PM.

Avoid Late Fees with Reminders

Nothing is more frustrating than getting slapped with a late fee just because a bill slipped your mind. Here are some tips to avoid late water bill payments:

  • Setup email or text reminders through your online account to receive notices leading up to the due date.

  • Mark due dates on your calendar or set calendar reminders so you never forget.

  • If going on vacation, pay the bill early or setup auto-pay to ensure it gets paid on time while you’re away.

  • Pay a few days early each month to account for any errors or delays.

  • Contact customer service if you anticipate issues paying on time any month.

Staying on top of due dates is easy with a few simple reminders to avoid annoying late payment fees.

Check Payment Status Online

Wondering if your recent water bill payment went through successfully? Here’s how to check payment status:

  • Login to your online account and view payment history – processed payments will show the date paid.

  • From account history, click on the receipt number for that payment to view details.

  • Call the customer service number and provide the receipt or check number to confirm status.

  • Check your bank account online to confirm the bill amount was deducted as expected.

Verifying your payments went through correctly provides peace of mind your account is in good standing.

Sign Up for Auto-Pay for Simple Recurring Payments

The ultimate in bill paying convenience is setting up automatic recurring payments through Rainier View Water’s online bill system. With auto-pay, your water bill is charged to your payment method automatically each month so you never even have to think about it.

To enable auto-pay:

  • Login to online bill pay and select auto-pay options.

  • Pick the date each month you want payment withdrawn on.

  • Enter the credit/debit card or bank account to use.

  • Specify payment amount – either fixed or full balance each month.

That’s it – now your water bill is 100% hands-off each month!

Option Three: Credit Card Payments

Washington Water accepts payment using the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Visa/MasterCard Debit. Payments can be made at “no charge” or over the phone for a fee of $1.25 per transaction. If you would like to make your payment on the phone, please call our customer service center at (877) 408-4060—or (888) 490-3741 for East Pierce customers—during normal operating hours.

Option One: Online Payment Portal

Customers who sign up for our online payment portal can:

  • View and print bills
  • See payment details, including date and amount
  • Pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Visa or MasterCard debit with no fee
  • Set up recurring payments
  • Make payments at any time
  • And more!

Most Washington Water customers can reach the portal by visiting wawater.firstbilling.com. East Pierce customers (formerly Rainier View Water customers) should visit www.xpressbillpay.com.

Auto-Pay/EFT is the option that we recommend. It allows us to debit your payment from a checking or savings account.

With Auto-Pay, your payment will be drafted on the due date that is printed on your monthly invoice. If the date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment will be drafted the following business day. You can call our office and update your banking information or discontinue Auto-Pay at any time.

If you would like to sign up for Auto-Pay, complete the auto-payment application form (see the link below) and return it to our office along with a voided check from your bank account. If you do not have checks for your account, a deposit slip with your routing number and account number will work. If you include your email address on the form, we will automatically sign you up for Ebilling, and you will receive a confirmation email that this service has been activated.
