Prince George Electric Cooperative (PGEC) provides electric service to homes and businesses in parts of Virginia As a PGEC member, you have several options to pay your electric bill conveniently each month This guide will outline the various methods available to pay your PGEC electric bill.
Pay Online
The easiest way to pay your PGEC electric bill is online through SmartHub To pay online

Go to www.pgec.coop and click on “SmartHub”

Log into your SmartHub account

Select “Billing & Payments” from the menu

Choose the account you want to make a payment for

Enter the payment amount

Select a payment method – card, checking account, etc.

Submit payment
Online payments through SmartHub are processed immediately. You’ll get a confirmation email with your receipt. Paying online avoids late fees and gives 24/7 access.
Pay by Phone
To pay your PGEC electric bill by phone, call 1-800-622-5510. You’ll need to have your 10-digit account number handy.
Follow the prompts to enter your payment information. Payments can be made by credit/debit card, checking account, or electronic funds transfer.
A $3.95 convenience fee applies to phone payments. But it ensures your payment is posted to your account right away.

Allow 5-7 business days for mailed payments to process to avoid late fees.

Pay by cash, check, money order or card at the front desk during business hours (Mon-Fri 9am-4pm). In-person payments are applied same day.
A 24-hour drop box is also available at this location for after hours payments.
Enroll in AutoPay
For automated payments, enroll in PGEC AutoPay through SmartHub. On your due date each month, your payment will be automatically deducted from your selected bank account or credit card.

How do I pay my electric bill at PGEC?
PGEC offers members a variety of ways to pay their bills. Our mobile app is designed to give you fast, secure account access so you can easily manage your electric service no matter where you are. VISA or MasterCard are accepted and no fee is charged. Sign up using the following path: SmartHub, Billing and Payments, and Auto Pay Accounts.
Do PGEC members pay their bill on time?
While most members pay their bill on time, a very small portion does not. Once a disconnection notice is printed, PGEC will attempt to contact members by automated phone calls if we have a phone number on file. The message will ask you to please contact the Co-op about your bill.
Does PGEC disconnect service for non-payment for energy consumption?
Some do not and PGEC is forced to disconnect service for non-payment for energy consumption during the past two billing cycles. On a monthly cycle, we bill each account for the month’s kilowatt-hour consumption. After the bill is issued, the member has 20 days to pay for the previous month’s usage.
How do I view my PG&E Bill?
