Paying your health insurance bill on time is important to maintain coverage. Molina Healthcare offers several convenient payment options to fit your needs. In this article, I’ll explain the different ways you can pay your Molina healthcare bill online, by phone, by mail or in person.
Pay Online
The easiest way to pay your Molina bill is online through the Molina member portal called MyMolina Here are the steps to pay online
- Go to www.molinahealthcare.com and click on “Member Login”
- Enter your username and password to access your MyMolina account
- From the menu, select “Make a Payment”
- Choose whether you want to make a one-time payment or set up recurring automatic payments. For recurring payments, you’ll need to enter your bank account information.
- Enter the payment amount and submit.
Online payment is secure and processes immediately. You can use a credit card debit card or checking account. Make sure to log into your MyMolina account to view your balance and verify the payment went through.
Pay by Phone
To pay by phone, call Molina Healthcare at (800) 665-3072. Have your member ID number ready. Follow the prompts to make a one-time payment using automated system with a credit card, debit card or checking account.
The phone automated system is available 24/7. However, if you need help from a live agent, call during business hours Monday-Friday 8am-6pm local time. Phone payments process quickly.
Pay by Mail
To pay your premium by mail, send a check or money order made payable to Molina Healthcare to:
Molina Healthcare
PO Box 22719
Long Beach, CA 90801
Be sure to include your member ID number on the check. Mailing a payment can take 7-10 days to process so make sure to mail it in advance of the due date.
Pay in Person
You can pay your Molina premium in person at a MoneyGram location. Bring your invoice and member ID number to any MoneyGram agent and provide the receive code 14355. The cashier will collect your payment and apply it to your Molina account.
When is Payment Due?
Molina bills members monthly. Payment is due by the date shown on your monthly invoice, usually the 1st of the month. Your invoice will state the exact due date.
If you signed up for recurring auto pay, the funds will automatically be deducted from your bank account each month. Otherwise, you need to manually pay each month’s balance by the due date.
What Happens If I Miss a Payment?
It’s important to pay your Molina bill on time every month. If you miss a payment, you may receive a late notice and your account could incur fees. If multiple payments are missed, you risk having your health coverage terminated.
If you are unable to make a payment call Molina as soon as possible to discuss payment plan options and avoid interruptions in your health coverage.
Having Trouble Paying? Financial Help is Available
If you’re having trouble affording your monthly premiums, you may qualify for financial assistance. Molina offers premium tax credits and cost sharing reductions to lower income members.
To find out if you qualify, contact a Molina agent at (888) 858-3492. Provide details on your household income and they can check your eligibility for subsidies to reduce your costs.
You can also apply for Medicaid through your state Medicaid office if you meet the income limits. Medicaid provides free or low cost health coverage so it’s worth exploring if money is tight.
Set Up Recurring Auto Pay for Convenience
I recommend enrolling in auto pay through your MyMolina account to have premium payments automatically deducted from your bank account. This ensures your bill is paid on time every month.
To set up recurring auto pay:
- Log into your MyMolina account
- Go to the Make a Payment page
- Select Set Up Recurring Payment
- Enter your bank account information and payment amount
- Confirm your enrollment
Once enrolled, you don’t have to do anything further. The funds will be deducted from your account on the invoice due date so you can rest assured your coverage remains active.
Use the MyMolina Mobile App to Manage Payments
The MyMolina app makes it easy to pay your bill on the go directly from your smartphone. You can download the iOS or Android app and log in with your MyMolina username and password.
Key features of the MyMolina app include:
- Pay your balance immediately
- View payment history
- Set up recurring auto pay
- Get payment reminders
- Receive notifications when a payment is processed
This gives you the flexibility to manage payments anywhere, anytime! I personally find the app super convenient.
