After we receive payment or denial of payment from your insurance company, we will send you a statement with your remaining balance due. Statements are mailed out on a monthly basis. Normally insurance companies will pay or deny claims within 30 – 45 days of submission.

You can take the following steps to make the billing process go as smooth as possible:

  • Give us a current phone number and mailing address
  • Give us your most recent insurance information
  • Understand your insurance benefits, limitations and procedures
  • Some insurance requires copay or out-of-pocket expenses. These can include deductibles and coinsurances. Be prepared to make these payments at the time of your visit.

All patients are responsible for balances due on their accounts. Payments are due upon receipt of the bill. UF Health employs third-party collection agencies to help us resolve unpaid balances.
