You can use the app to make a quick payment, view your usage and billing history contact customer service and report outages. The app allows you to pay as a guest or log into your account for saved payment options.

I really like using the app when I’m on the go. I set phone notifications so I get an alert when my bill is ready and can quickly log in to pay. The app is user-friendly and well-designed.

Phone Payments

If you prefer to pay your bill over the phone, Horry County Electric offers an automated payment system you can access anytime by calling (843) 369-2211. This is an easy option that only takes a few minutes.

To use the automated system, you just need your account number and credit or debit card handy. Follow the voice prompts to enter the required information and complete your payment.

The phone payment method is nice because you can call at whatever time is convenient for you, 24/7. It’s quick, uncomplicated, and doesn’t require any planning ahead.

Pay Near Me

Horry County Electric offers several ways to pay your bill locally in person. This can be helpful if you want to pay in cash or enjoy the experience of handing your payment to a real person!

You can pay at the Horry County Electric office locations in Conway or Socastee during regular business hours with cash or check.

Many banks throughout the county accept Horry Electric payments as well. There are 24/7 payment kiosks available at the cooperative’s office drive-thru locations too.

I make use of the in-person options when I have cash from odd jobs or my grandmother gives me money to put toward the electric bill when she visits. The kiosks are great for making payments outside typical 9-5 business hours.

Mail-In Payments

If you prefer the old school bill pay method of writing a check and mailing it in, Horry County Electric still offers that option.

Automatic Bank Draft

My favorite bill payment method offered by Horry County Electric is the automatic monthly bank draft. This allows the amount due to be withdrawn directly from your bank account each month.

To set up bank draft payments, complete an authorization form with your account details and submit a voided check. Drafts will be taken on the due date each month so your payment is always on time!

The bank draft is wonderful because I never have to think about my electric bill. It’s paid every month automatically without me having to do a thing. The convenience and reliability can’t be beat!

Equal Pay Plan

If you don’t like electric bill fluctuations throughout the year, Horry County Electric offers an Equal Pay Plan to stabilize your payments.

With this option, your bill is averaged over 12 months to determine a fixed monthly payment amount. This way you pay about the same each month instead of higher bills in peak seasons.

At the end of 12 months on Equal Pay, your account is reconciled and any overages or deficiencies are adjusted. I really appreciate this plan to help me budget, especially during expensive summer cooling months.
