Paying your water bill can feel like a hassle sometimes. You get busy with life and forget when it’s due Before you know it, you’re hit with late fees and penalties But it doesn’t have to be that way if you live in Conemaugh Township, PA. Paying your water bill is easier than ever thanks to the online options provided by the Conemaugh Township Municipal Authority (CTMA). As a Conemaugh Township resident myself, I want to share how straightforward and convenient they make the process.
Online Account Access Through AuthorityPay
The first step is to set up an online account with CTMA’s billing system, AuthorityPay Just go to ctmawaterauthoritypay.com and click “Create Account.” You’ll need your account number and CID from your latest bill to get started.
Once your account is created, you can log in anytime to view your balance, payment history, and make payments. AuthorityPay allows you to pay by credit card, debit card, or e-check right from your account. You can even set up automatic monthly payments so you never forget.
I love getting reminders and notifications through AuthorityPay. It sends emails when my bill is ready and payment confirmations so I always know what’s going on. The whole system is really user-friendly and intuitive too.
Pay Online Without an Account
If you don’t want to deal with setting up an account, CTMA does offer a guest pay option on their website. Go to www.ctmawater.com and click “Pay Your Water Bill.” You can make a one-time credit card payment through their third-party processor.
While convenient, I prefer having an AuthorityPay account. It’s more secure saving my payment information there rather than entering it each time. And I’d miss out on the payment reminders and history tracking. But guest pay is great in a pinch if you just need to pay your bill quickly online.
Pay In Person
The CTMA office, located at 429 Manor Drive in Davidsville, is open 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday for in-person payments. You can pay by cash, check or credit card at the office. Just be sure to bring your latest bill with you.
Paying at the office lets you talk to a customer service rep if you have any questions or want to set up a payment plan. However, I try to avoid making special trips just to pay my bill. The online options are much more align with my busy schedule.
Drop Boxes and By Mail
For after hours, CTMA has drop boxes located outside their office and the Conemaugh Township Sewer Authority building. You can drop off a check or money order, but no cash is allowed.
You can also mail payments, but make sure to allow enough time for it to arrive by the due date. I’d recommend mailing at least 5-7 days before, so it’s not late even if there are postal delays. Payments received after the due date get hit with late fees no matter when they were mailed.
Auto Bill Pay Through Your Bank
Many banks offer auto bill pay through their online banking or mobile apps. You provide details on the bill you want to pay, including CTMA’s mailing address, and the bank sends a check automatically each month.
I did this for awhile but found signing up directly through AuthorityPay much simpler. No need to deal with my bank’s website or app. And I like that AuthorityPay gives me control to pick the exact payment date each month.
Avoid Those Late Fees
Getting stuck with late fees is never fun. CTMA charges a 10% penalty if your payment is even 1 day late. That can add up quickly!
My advice is to pick one of the many convenient payment options above and set reminders for yourself. Whether it’s calendar alerts, AuthorityPay emails, or automatic payments, staying on top of your water bill pays off by avoiding fees.
Paying your Conemaugh Township water bill is quick and easy these days. Ditch the checks and stamps by paying online through AuthorityPay or CTMA’s website. Or go paperless altogether with auto bill pay. Whatever option fits your style, taking advantage of the modern payment methods makes your life simpler and saves money too.
