-
Click on the “Pay My Bill Now” button
-
This redirects you to a secure payment page
-
Select the bill type (utility, court, etc.)
-
Enter your account number and personal details
-
Pay with credit, debit, or eCheck
-
Convenience fees apply to online payments
-
Receive instant email confirmation
I recommend setting up an online account if paying regularly online. You can store payment methods, view balance and payment history, get paperless billing, and more.
Pay by Phone
You can also pay your Blackwell bill over the phone by calling 580-363-7250. Have these ready when you call:
-
Account number
-
Billing address
-
Payment amount
-
Credit/debit card number
Just keep in mind that phone payments have higher convenience fees compared to online. Still, it’s a solid option if you prefer speaking to someone directly.
Pay by Mail
To pay by check, mail your payment to:
City of Blackwell
Attn: Utility Billing
PO Box 350
Blackwell, OK 74631
Make your check payable to City of Blackwell and include your account number on the memo line. Allow 5-7 business days for mailed payments to process and post to your account.
Pay in Person
You can pay your bill in-person at City Hall:
-
Address: 221 W Blackwell Ave, Blackwell, OK 74631
-
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
-
Accepts cash, check, credit/debit cards
-
After-hours drop box available
The benefit of paying in-person is you can talk to city staff if you have questions on your account. Just note city hall has limited business hours.
Avoid Late Fees and Disconnection
To avoid penalties, make sure to pay your bill by the due date each month. Here is what can happen with late/unpaid bills:
-
A 10% late fee may be added to past due utility accounts
-
Utility services can be disconnected around 45 days past due
-
Reconnection fees apply after disconnection
-
Outstanding balances may be sent to collections agencies
If you are struggling to pay on time, call the city immediately to ask about possible payment arrangements or assistance programs before your account becomes delinquent.
Enroll in Auto-Pay
Sign up for auto-pay through your online account to have payments automatically deducted each month. Here are some auto-pay tips:
-
Log into your account and click on Auto-Pay to enroll
-
Pick a payment date prior to your due date so it posts on time
-
Update your payment method if your card number changes
-
Monitor your account to ensure payments are being deducted
-
You can cancel auto-pay at any time if needed
Automatic payments give peace of mind that your bill is paid on time without remembering due dates or mailing checks. Highly recommend it!
