How to Pay Your Southwest Arkansas Electric Bill Online or In Person

Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative (SWAECC) provides reliable electric service to members in Southwest Arkansas. As a customer, you are responsible for paying your SWAECC bill on time each month to avoid late fees or service interruption. SWAECC offers flexible payment options to fit every member’s needs.

Paying Online

The fastest and most convenient way to pay is through SWAECC’s online SmartHub portal or mobile app. To pay online:

  • Go to www.smarthubapp.com or download the SmartHub app.

  • Log in using your account number and PIN

  • Select “Make Payment” and enter your payment details

  • Payments process instantly. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your receipt.

SmartHub allows secure online payments 24/7. You can pay full or partial balances, view billing history set up autopay and more.

Paying by Phone

To pay by phone, call SWAECC at 1-800-782-2743 and select the pay by phone option. You can pay with a debit/credit card or electronic check. Phone payments process immediately.

Allow 5-7 days for mailed payments to process. Include your account number on checks or money orders. Do not mail cash payments.

Paying in Person

SWAECC has payment kiosks available 24/7 at all office locations. Kiosks accept cash, checks, and credit/debit payments. Staffed drive-thru tellers are also available on weekdays from 8am-5pm at the Texarkana office.

For automatic monthly payments, enroll in AutoPay through SmartHub. On your due date each month, SWAECC will debit your bank account or credit card on file for the total balance. This prevents late payments.

To enroll:

  • Login to SmartHub

  • Select “AutoPay Program”

  • Choose your payment method and enter details

  • Pick a date for withdrawals

  • Submit the enrollment form

Payment Assistance Programs

If you’re struggling financially, SWAECC partners with several assistance programs:

  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) – Helps cover electricity costs for qualifying households.

  • AR Save$ – Provides home weatherization upgrades to reduce energy consumption.

  • Payment arrangements – Set up a personalized payment plan.

Contact SWAECC to determine eligibility and apply for bill assistance. These programs provide aid directly to your SWAECC account.

Avoid Late Fees and Disconnection

SWAECC bills are due by the 10th of each month. After the due date:

  • Late fee – 10% of your outstanding balance, up to $10

  • Disconnection notice – Mailed 15 days after due date

  • Service interruption – Power shut off if 30+ days past due

  • Reconnect fee – $30 during business hours, $60 after hours
