As a Fulton County resident paying your water bill is a regular necessity. But thanks to the variety of payment options offered by the county it’s quicker and more convenient than ever to pay your water bill. In this article, I’ll walk through the different ways you can pay your Fulton County water bill both online and in person.
As someone who has been a Fulton County water customer for over 10 years, I used to dread the hassle of mailing in check payments each month. But now I appreciate how easy Fulton County has made it to pay online, over the phone, or at a self-service kiosk. Below I’ve outlined the various payment methods so you can choose the one that works best for you.
Paying Your Fulton County Water Bill Online
The easiest way I’ve found to pay my water bill is to use Fulton County’s online payment portal. To access it, you just need to go to the Fulton County website at fultoncountyga.gov and click on “Pay Your Water Bill”.
From there you can either login if you already have an account, or quickly setup up a new account if it’s your first time. You’ll need your 8-digit customer number and 8-digit account number which are printed on your paper bill
Once logged into the portal, you can securely pay by credit card, debit card, or e-check. Fulton County accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards. Your payment will process instantly so you can avoid late fees as long as you pay by the due date.
I love the convenience of paying online – it takes just a minute and I can do it from anywhere on my laptop or phone!
Paying by Phone
If you prefer to talk to someone directly, Fulton County offers an automated telephone payment system you can use to pay by phone. Just dial 404-612-6830 and select option 2. You’ll need to enter your account information and can then make a payment by e-check, debit card, or credit card.
This is a great option if you want to make a payment outside of website portal hours. The automated system is available 24/7.
Using the Self-Service Kiosk
Fulton County has a self-service payment kiosk located at 11575 Maxwell Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30009. It’s open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:30pm and Saturdays 7:30am-12pm.
The kiosk accepts e-check, debit card, and credit card payments. You just enter your account details and payment information at the kiosk to process your water bill payment.
Paying by Mail
While not as quick and convenient as the online options, you can still pay your Fulton County water bill by mailing in a check or money order. Make sure to allow 5-7 business days for your mailed payment to arrive by the due date.
Mail your payments to:
Water and Sewer Billing and Collections
P.O. Box 105300
Atlanta, GA 30348-5300
Just be sure to mail it out plenty early to avoid late fees!
Paying In Person
For those who prefer to pay in person, you can visit the Fulton County Government Center at 141 Pryor St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. They accept credit cards, cash, check, or money order payments.
In-person payments are accepted Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm. I’d recommend paying at least a week before the due date cut it close.
